As of May 4, 2020. All three office locations of the Sullivan County clerk’s office are open to the public and fully staffed. A strict adherence to limiting the number of customers allowed inside the offices at one time will be followed. This could result in extra wait times, especially at the beginning and end of the month.
Please be aware that Governor Lee has extended the expiration dates on March, April, and May vehicle registrations until June 15, 2020. In addition, Tennessee residents can drive on a bill of sale or a properly executed title in their name. In light of these extensions, it is suggested the public refrain from visiting the office in person if at all possible and consider either using the online services we offer or mail your renewal in to our office at 3258 HWY 126, Blountville, TN 37617.
We are currently not offering driver’s licenses, real ID’s, photo ID’s or handgun permit services at this time, but will restart those services at a later time to be announced. The deadline for real ID’s has been extended to October 2021.
Navigate to the services tab at the top of this page and you will find instructions on how to take advantage on our many online services we have to offer as well as finding the answers to many questions. you may have.
